#Makeup Review: Lancome Cosmetics Matte Shaker

Who doesn’t love a good Matte or Satin-Matte finish?! When looking for a lip product to wear, I always take into consideration what i’ll be doing that day or which events i’ll be attending. Honestly, I don’t recommend wearing Matte during the winter season often unless you’re packing on the lip balm and mask before you go-to bed (i’ll cover that in another post). However, I had the opportunity to receive the full collection of Lancomes’ Matte Shakers when they debuted in 2017 while freelancing and I instantly fell in love.

My first thoughts of the shakers were WOAH! Pigment-rich! Lancome took the color intensity to the max with this product. I recommend using a lip brush when applying this product because a little truly goes a long way. Otherwise, you may end up applying too much, yikes! This is one of the few matte lip products that feels comfortable and non-drying or dehydrating on the lips. To my surprise, I didn’t even feel the product on my lips after applying and letting it dry which is an uncommon phenomenon when it comes to matte lipsticks. Thus, I rate it as very lightweight, almost like a second skin. This product definitely fools people into thinking the lipstick you’re wearing, is your natural lip color (neutral colors of course).

TIP

If pairing with a lip liner, apply the Matte Shaker first then lip liner (crazy, huh?!)

Directions: shake, apply (a little bit) then let it dry for 90 seconds. After you let it dry, apply the lip liner.

Another sexy trait of the Matte shaker? it doesn’t run or bleed which is key for precision and comfortability. Their Shaker Collection is easy, exciting and fun to mix and match with. Also, it has a strong staying power (all day, literally)… I tested this by eating a Five Guys burger with fries. Results? My lipstick was STILL on and I didn’t even have to touch-up! That tells me, this product is economical in regards to how long it will last you and gives you peace of mind, not having to worry if your makeup needs touched up or not. In short, I love this collection. Stop by your local counter and let the makeup artists showcase this lipstick in the shade that matches you best!
