Quinoa Husk Extract #Skincare

Quinoa Husk Extract? What?! Who would’ve ever thought to incorporate Quinoa into skincare? Through extensive research on how it benefits bodily functions and induces a balanced state of mind, dermatologists were inquisitive on its’ skincare benefits.

Quinoa Husk is widely used in L’oreal products (my favorite drug store brand). It’s a purely, potent extract that increases surface skin cell turnover and refines the texture of your skin. Due to this statistic alone, I highly recommend Acne-Prone skin types to give the exact a try (no harsh chemicals). My favorite attribute to this extract is how helpful it is in promoting an even skin tone which is something many men and women struggle with. When the Vitamin C isn’t bringing the results you need, try a DIY Quinoa Husk Extract Facial. I’ll tell you, it works wonders, especially for darker complexions.

QUINOA EXTRACT DIY FACIAL

Need:

  • Quinoa Extract

  • 2 Tablespoons of honey

  • 1 egg white

Leave on for 15-20, rinse well with warm water and viola!

The high levels of Saponin, makes it a superior exfoliate among many other ingredients (minus all the harsh chemicals usually added in products). The extract is rich in anti-inflammatory properties making it safe for sensitive skin types to incorporate into their skincare routine. As it accelerates cell renewal by limiting the cohesion of Stratem Corneum (outer layer of skin), the extract maintains organization of lipids without irritation.

Quinoa is rich in Vitamin B which treats age spots and other related skin conditions (especially psoriasis). As it reduces the deposits of dark melanin in skin, the extract moves forth in maintaining a healthy complexion while treating acne and breakouts (Vit. B3). My mature clients rave at how the extract smooths out fine lines just after one mask and/or application! The Riboflavin (B12) improves skin elasticity and reduces sedum production which is usually the underlying cause of breakouts.
