For the following week I’ll be giving the 411 on Lancome’s Skincare Collections, introducing Ènergie De Vie, first.

I freelanced for Lancome Cosmetics as a Pro MUA for two and a half years-I was taught a wealth of knowledge. Within that time period, I had the opportunity to travel across the US and collaborate with various creative directions, photographers and leaders in the cosmetic industry. I hadn’t fully gotten into Lancome's’ skincare collection until about 3 months in because I had wanted to finish out Predire’s skincare collection; so my skin wouldn’t have to deal with the whiplash of sudden change in products.

What’s the objective of Energie De Vie? It was created to be their most gentle, yet effective skincare for dull, sensitive skin. You’ll notice it’s main highlight is the instant, dewy glow and bright complexion after going through the correct steps as advised by their professionals. My skin type varies depending on the weather and environment. Overall, I have normal skin with minor breakouts (usually due to hormones). Thus, foam cleansers offer me the perfect amount of purification and moisture over a 24-hr period.

Two keys ingredients that make this skincare collection effective, is the Lemon Balm and Goji Berry. Lemon Balm serves to soothe and calm the skin, as it contains anti-inflammatory benefits. Goji Berry strengthens the skins various layers via antioxidant action; specific sugars in Goji Berry are shown to energize and hydrate the skin, bringing forth a youthful appearance.

First Step: Foam Cleanser 4.2 fl oz - retails for $35, categorized as dewy-glow collection. Lightly wet skin before use, then begin to massage in circular motions around facial and neck area. Their products do not contain parabens, sulfates and/or phthalates. The key role it plays in your skincare is re-awakening dull and/or tired skin.

The cleanser is a non-drying formula which removes makeup, leaving a smooth complexion and an improved glow. As it smoothes and purifies, ènergie de vie energizes the skin by diminishing fatigue and tightening pores.

Next step, Pearly Lotion 6.7 fl oz. retails for $50. It’s essentially an energizing and hydrating facial essence inspired by Korean skin care trends and routines. The lotion acts as a moisture magnent while relieving dullness and revitalizing skin. The ingredients Goji Berry, Lemon Balm and Vitamin E leaves the skin feeling comfortable and nourished. The unique texture of oil droplets suspended in the water, fuels your skin with hydration. A big key to take away is that their pearly lotion provides 24-hr hydration while re-plumping the skin. Results are greater when paired with the Advanced Gènifque to boost the serum.

Afterwards, the Liquid Care Moisturizer should be applied. It retails for $55 for 1.7 fl oz. Liquid Care is an antioxidant packed moisturizer that refreshes and protects tired skin for an instant dewy glow. It fuels skin for refined texture and a rewed bounce. Also, moisturizers act as a protective barrier against free radicals, which is necessary for sustaining youthful skin. Each bottle contains 30 leaves of Lemon Balm and 250mg of Goji Berry. Liquid Care absorbs quickly and is also to be used as a 360* eye contour. For best results apply every morning and night during routine.

Finally, you finish off with your Day Cream which retails for $55, 1.7 fl oz. Why should you apply a day cream after Liquid Care Moisturizer? It’s a water-infused moisturizing cream that delivers a cooling effect with a fresh texture. The silk texture provides a hydration beyond 24-hours and increases skins moisture. Keep in mind that an SPF is important also, no matter what time of the year it is.
