Morphe, Bake & Set Powder in Translucent

As a biracial woman with sensitive skin I prefer to use Banana Powders, especially from Ben Nye (y’all know thats my #1 HG Powder). Yet, I hesitantly decided to give Morphe’s Translucent powder a try (even the word translucent scares me sometimes) because I’m not trying to come out ashy or have flashback! Can’t blame my past bad experiences with other companies and their translucent powder though, LOL. Setting Powder is like my second religion, forreal, and I need it for basically everything when applying makeup. It’s my ride or die, and Morphe, your translucent powder is going into my Holy Grail Bag! My skin is not only sensitive but also oily/combo at the moment because of my active lifestyle, living in the heart of Hollywood, being in DTLA often, etc. Thus, I do experience a great deal of pollution, UVB/UVA Rays, and free radicals interfering with my skin which leads me to break out in places I normally wouldn’t. Not to mention dealing with creasing, I don’t have that issue with Morphe’s Translucent Powder, even as I sweat throughout the day (it’s hot asf in LA), I don’t have to worry too much about my makeup coming apart. Their powder has kept my #makeup in tact and ready to slay throughout the day. issa yes from me, boo.

Nyx Cosmetics, Eyebrow Cake Powder in Blonde

I love that their Eyebrow Cake Powder is travel friendly, with a great amount of product! This is one of the reasons as to why I love Nyx, affordable, travel friendly, decent undertones and quality. Nyx Brow product comes with two shades within your range and a eyebrow wax primer with a spooly and application brush. Cute! All in all, the product goes on smoothly, stays put and looks au so naturalè. yaaaaaassss. Definitely recommend, go buy it sis, you’ll thank me later.

Nyx Cosmetics, Highlight & Contour Pro Palette

OMG I freaking love this palette! Okay let me calm down, makeup gets me excited! Their palette comes with 8 shades: 4 highlighters, 4 contour shades, made for most, if not, all skin complexions which is really important to me because i’m black and many brands lack in darker shade ranges, which I especially need for darker complected clients. You can actually remove each shade from the pan as it has their own little pot they’re in. I’d say their finishes are matte/satin. Recommend for all skin types, targeting oily/combo. As a traveling Makeup Artists that’s always on the go, and active, I need products that last at least 18+ hours and this palette does the job. I DON’T recommend this at all, however I accidentally fell asleep in my makeup yet my contour and highlight was still poppin’ when I woke up, lol. 5 stars for sure.

Fenty Beauty, Body Lava in Trophy Wife

Oh, how I love this product so much. I think I’m emotionally attached to this product lmao! I don’t have ONE bad thing to say about Fenty Beautys Body Lava, literally perfection and makes me feel like such a goddess, as if i’m perfection! Dewy, ultra-lit, gel-based luminizer. As I apply, I begin to shimmer, sparkle and glow, it’s ethereal. I use this to make me bronzed, glow and catch the light in pictures and in any setting i’m in. This product truly makes me feel beautiful and is ultra-lightweight. A million Stars!
