These tools are key in appearing more youthful, feminine and you may even realize that you don’t need to use as much product as you have been using or those darker shades as they do make you appear older.
Moisturize
I say this every time however it’s vital that you consistently moisturize everyday as it helps cells repair themselves than you would with a drier face (look for Vitamin E).
2. Eyes
It all begins with the eyes. I know many people such as myself, who opt for a black eyeliner; as it adds drama, makes eyes appear bigger and bolder. Yet, it’s best to keep in mind that there’s a time and place for different colored eyeliners. I suggest opting for a brown eyeliner instead of black since it can make you appear much, much older because it is more intense. The brown eyeliner is softer and easier to manage especially for daytime looks. Deep Brown liners have a similar impact of black eyeliner but less dramatic.
This is one of my favorite techniques to use:
Applying a nude or light pink liner to the lower lash line gives off a youthful innocence that’s graceful and soft. Always a go-to.
Pinks and Nudes are your best friend when it comes to appearing more youthful, thus applying a pinkish blush is a cute touch to add and very flirty
Believe it or not, eyelashes begin to flatten around 35 years old, so curling those lashes help lift the eyes and give off that pretty, flirtatious look that your boo-thang will love.
3. Lips
Over time, your lips begin to thin out, look less defined and your natural lip line begins to fade as you get older. My suggestion is to use a neutral, light pink or sheer lipstick paired with a lipliner that’s a shade lighter than your lipstick. Often times we want to gravitate towards a darker liner line for the appearance of bigger lips which is fine in moderation, however, dark hues will only enhance the signs of age.
4. Highlighter
I enjoy adding a highlighter to the high points of my face to prevent a flat face look which adds a youthful and subtle dimension to features.
