Essentials to Have in Your Pro MUA Kit!

Whether you're a Professional Makeup Artist or not, over the years, I've learned about which vital products to keep in your kit! Not only will it amp up and bring you more business, but will save you from messy situations.

1. A fast brush Cleanser... You may say, "Okay we already know this! Next!". I'm talking about a brush cleanser that cleans your brushes in 30 seconds! Especially if you're dealing with multiple clients during a job - you NEED this in your kit. A must have to keep in your kit is the 'Artis Brush Cleanser'. Not only does it clean in 30 seconds but it seriously gets rid of bacteria and harmful germs that may be lingering in the brush itself.

2. Teeth Whitening Strips - Crest 3D Luxe pro. This will help out quite a lot considering your client is typically going to a special event or photoshoot, plus they'll appreciate the effort watching out for them. Your whole mission as a Makeup Artist is to make the client look and feel great about themselves; this will definitely keep them hiring you over and over again because this is what will separate you from the rest!

4. Acetone Nail Polish Remover (I recommend OPI). This is a trick I learned from Celebrity Makeup Artist: Kristofer Buckle. He keeps an acetone nail polish remover in his kit because it helps get rid of pimples on the spot! Yes, you read that correctly. Dip a cotton swab in the polish remover then press down on the pimple for 1-2 minutes. It sucks the life out of the pimple, creating a flat surface (meaning less makeup to use and making it easier to conceal the problem area). It's a win-win situation for both you and your client. Plus, you don't have to worry about the polish remover damaging the skin because it simply evaporates. It does tingle and cause some redness which brings me to my next key essential product. Thank you Kristofer!!

5. Visine Eye Drops. Another beauty trick  from Kristofer Buckle; Visine Eye drops. Surprisingly if you pat it on any redness you may have, it makes it go away... Meaning less makeup to use to conceal any redness!

6. Of course, Witch Hazel. Witch Hazel (toner) is amazing for large pores, especially if you have combination skin.

7. Blotting Papers. Always keep some blotting papers in your kit incase your clients makeup starts to look oily and/or shiny. They definitely take away any oil and dirt residing on the skin.
