Sweet Rose #Skincare | NovasGrandeur

Sweet roses offer rich, seductive scents while containing antibacterial properties that can help treat acne-prone skin. Roses are anti-inflammatory, reducing swollen spots and/or redness while soothing rosacea and eczema. There are over 100 species of roses, most of which are native to Asia.

Sweet Rose is a natural cleanser that’s often used in organic cosmetic lines because of how it cleanses out clogged pores without any harsh chemicals. Gentle enough for sensitive skin, it calms and smooths skin surface making it ideal for all skin types. I enjoy sweet rose due to how moisturizing it is (especially during the winter months). A key for dry skin types is that sweet rose helps increase the ability to hold onto hydration. Rose is also a vital source of Vitamin C which is great for protecting skin from environmental stressors, preserving a youthful complexion.

The rich antioxidants in this flower keeps skin firm and tightened, naturally. I suggest incorporating a Sweet Rose Mask into your routine once a week. Here’s my step-by-step process; soak eight petals in 3-4 tbsp. of water for 2-3 hours. After that has passed, mash the petals into the water and add 3 tbsp. of honey. Mix well, apply evenly and leave on for 15-30 minutes. Rinse with cool water afterwards (minimize pores).

My DIY Sweet Rose mask is packed with Vitamin C, known to help protect skin cells from damage, while brightening your complexion. In doing so, it helps refine skin texture, controlling skin conditions such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. I find that sweet rose is great for healing wounds (holistic) as it inhibits water loss in the skin. Sweet Rose is suitable for all skin types but recommended more so for dry, sensitive and/or mature skin types. The ability to retain hydration and act as a gentle exfoliator (getting rid of sebum) makes it an exceptional powerhouse antioxidant within the beauty community.
