Jojoba Pearls in Makeup and Skincare

What are Jojoba Pearls?! They're a biodegradable treatment for acne which can also be used to exfoliate skin. Jojoba Pearls in skincare and makeup are known to protect the various layers of the skin (primarily epidermis) while brightening your complexion, making you appear rested and rejuvenated. They’re a wondrous addition to your routine because when you wash your face at the end of the day, the Jojoba Pearls are seamlessly removing any excess dead skin and bacteria.

As they exfoliate your skin, it gently cleanses without damaging skins surface or leaving it open to bacteria, making it suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive-skin. Jojoba pearls have the ability to penetrate deep into the pores to heal acne from within as well as treating blemishes, dry and/or mature skin. As they supply vitamins to skin, it encourages cell renewal while keeping pores healthy, clear and minimizing the appearance of them.

In your skincare routine, the pearls begin to treat any rough patches first, making your epidermis smooth and supple. I typically let the product absorb for a few minutes before I apply anything else, so that it brightens up my complexion a bit. Keep in mind that your skin is like a sponge and needs at least 15 minutes to soak up all the vitamins and antioxidants before applying any makeup.

As far as makeup goes, one of my favorite products with Jojoba Pearls is the Dual Finish Highlighter from Lancome. It has a wet/dry technology meaning the highlighter is already dry (in a compact) and is versatile enough to be prepped into a intense, beaming glow with setting spray or water. The powder highlight is enhanced with light reflecting pearls with the option of a buildable glow. It's infused with vitamin E and triglycerides making it a non-drying, moisturizing all-day wear highlighter. The 5 different shades are extremely pigmented, with a velvet, smooth texture. The powder highlighters are Lancomes most potent formulas; the powder is more suitable for oily skin due to the non-comedogenic properties. It's currently my favorite highlighter (oily/combo) and has a gentle texture (sheer).

.In my opinion, it feels absolutely amazing when applying to the skin, similar to the feel of cashmere. I highly recommend finding a good eye cream with Jojoba pearls if you’re battling dark under eye circles, dehydration or crows feet.
