Primers for Dry/Combination Skin

1. Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation Primer. Laura Mercier's primer has a creamy formula yet it's lightweight at the same time! I have oily skin so it's not necessary for me to use everyday but it lasts about 18 hours and doesn't pill your makeup.

2. Bare Escentuals "Prime Time" Foundation Primer. This primer combats dry, flaky, and rough patches of skin with hydrating emollients that don't cause breakouts. It has a satin texture/finish, smoothes over wrinkles, pores, and fine lines effectively. Prime Time also contains vitamins C, E, and antioxidants with infused plant extracts. Moreover, it doesn't have any sulfates, synthetic fragrances or parabens. I highly recommend this for sensitive/dry skin that needs to use products on the more natural side (:

3. Clinique Pore Minimizer Instant Perfecter Primer. OMG. I LOVE this primer! It has a silky, smooth texture that later turns into a matte finish (without drying skin) and covers pores DRAMATICALLY! This primer is extremely hydrating and truly gives your skin the proper care it needs.

4. Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Foundation Primer. Photo Finish primer is light weight, contains hydra-plex 12 which nourishes skin and provides an all-day moisturizer while blurring fine lines/wrinkles. Another one of my favorite primers - you can never go wrong with this one!!

5. Simply Ageless Serum Primer. The Simply Ageless Serum Primer hydrates with anti-agining benefits. It's non-greasy & not heavy which works to keep your face firm without drying it out because it provides continuous moisture.

6. Becca Resurfacing Primer. This primer is on the creamy side and contains glycerin to help hydrate skin while polymers (see polymers blog post) smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

This next section will be for those who has Dry/Sensitive skin.

7. "I'm So Sensitive" Smoothing Face Primer by Lorac. "I'm So Sensitive" is a hydrating, water-based primer. It prevents makeup meltdowns and contains antioxidants, vitamins, and plant extracts that won't cause flare-ups.

8. Hangover Replenishing Primer - Too Faced. This primer is great for parched, dry, or cracked skin from bad winter weather, or a hangover (lol, seriously!) Hangover Replenishing primer brings back your complexion to normal. What's their secret?! Too Faced infused coconut water (AMAZING skin essential) to give you a glowing complexion. TooFaced always has your back (:

9. Spackle Hydrating-Moisturizing Under Makeup Primer. Spackle is a vitamin-rich moisturizing primer that contains Aloe Vera gel and Cupucacu Seed butter to keep your complexion soft and supple. Plus, it's really good at camoflauging imperfections.
